Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Lauterbrunnen?

Lauterbrunnen is a village in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland, at the foot of a spectacular glacial valley. The valley walls rise over 1,000 metres on each side and support 72 waterfalls, including the 297-metre Staubbach Falls. It is the gateway to the Jungfrau ski area and the car-free villages of Wengen and Mürren above.

What does this print show?

The print captures the Lauterbrunnen Valley with its sheer cliff walls, cascading waterfalls, and deep glacial character in the Bernese Oberland.

How were the cliffs of Lauterbrunnen formed?

The vertical cliffs of Lauterbrunnen were carved by glacial erosion during the last Ice Age. A powerful valley glacier deepened and steepened the valley floor while the surrounding plateau remained relatively intact — creating the classic U-shaped valley cross-section with nearly vertical walls. The waterfalls drop from the hanging valleys carved by smaller tributary glaciers that could not erode as deeply as the main valley glacier below.

What material are these prints made from?

Each print is made on 200gsm premium matte fine art paper using high-quality giclée printing, ensuring exceptional detail, vibrant tones, and long-lasting quality.

Are these prints framed?

No — all prints are unframed to allow for your own custom framing choices. Frames shown in any preview images are for display purposes only.

What sizes are available?

Available in a range of sizes from small (5x7") to large (A0). Custom sizes available on request.
